Netanyahu expressed concern to Trump over Erdogan's statements
President of the United States Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed to continue coordinating actions between their countries.
This is stated in a statement from the office of the Israeli prime minister following a telephone conversation between the leaders.
"As part of ongoing contacts between Netanyahu and Trump, another conversation took place, during which further coordination of the countries' actions in various areas was established," the statement is quoted by world media.
It is reported that during the telephone conversation, Trump informed Netanyahu about U.S. actions in the Persian Gulf, but no details are provided.
Netanyahu raised the issue of the "sharpness" of statements by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his assistants regarding Israel, the statement says, without specifying what remarks were meant specifically.
The Israeli prime minister also emphasized the need to maintain security zones along Israel's borders in Lebanon, Syria, and the Gaza Strip.
