Finland secretly signed a military cooperation agreement with Israel
Finland and Israel have secretly signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of defense materials.
As 1news.az reports, this was announced by the Finnish broadcasting company Yle.
The document provides for cooperation between the two countries in the field of research, development, and procurement of military products.
According to Yle, the protocol was drawn up back in 2013, and in early 2024 Finland proposed that Israel extend its validity. In the new document, the term has been increased from five to ten years.
The agreement was approved in writing between the defense ministries of the two countries. In its response to Finland, Israel called the relations between the countries a unique partnership based on shared values and common interests.
