Putin and Xi agreed on 'something very important'
Russia and the PRC agreed on projects in the energy sector and "something else very important."
This was stated by Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov to journalist Pavel Zarubin of the Rossiya TV channel.
"We agreed on a lot, including something very important in energy," Ushakov said.
Previously, it became known that the delegations of Russia and China adopted 20 joint documents as part of Russian President Vladimir Putin's trip to Beijing, some of which were signed by the heads of the two countries.
In particular, Putin and Xi Jinping adopted a joint statement on strengthening partnership and deepening relations between Russia and China, as well as a joint declaration on the formation of a multipolar world and international relations of a new type.
On May 19-20, Vladimir Putin is making a two-day state visit to China. Before the start of the trip, the Russian president addressed Chinese citizens. He called Xi Jinping a "long-time good friend," stated the "stabilizing role" of the Moscow-Beijing link, and recalled that trade turnover between the two countries exceeded $200 billion. Following the negotiations, the parties plan to sign about 40 documents.
