Zelensky expects a meeting with Trump in the second half of September
President Volodymyr Zelensky is counting on a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in the 20s of September.
As "European Pravda" reports, the head of state said this while answering journalists' questions online.
The president noted that he hopes to discuss "deliveries of ballistic weapons from the Americans" at this meeting.
Zelensky recalled that work is currently underway on the anti-missile program "Freya," and expressed hope that the Americans support this program. However, he noted, until the program is ready, Ukraine needs "deliveries of ballistic weapons from the Americans."
"I am counting on a meeting in the 20s with President Trump, on discussing this topic. And God willing, there will be a result," Zelensky said.
The president did not specify where the meeting could take place. However, on September 22 the high-level debate at the UN General Assembly begins in New York, in which the president of Ukraine traditionally takes part.
