Basij commander killed in attack in southeastern Iran

Abdolrauf Eshaki, a commander of the Iranian Basij people's militia, was killed in an attack in southeastern Iran.

Iran International reported this on Tuesday.

Iranian authorities called the incident a terrorist attack. According to media reports, security forces are searching for and pursuing the attackers.

The Basij is an Iranian paramilitary militia and is one of the five forces that make up the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
