Azerbaijan and the U.S. discussed advancing the peace process and implementing TRIPP

Azerbaijan's Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov met with David Allen, U.S. Chargé d'Affaires ad interim in Armenia, who arrived in Baku on a visit. Amy Carlon, U.S. Chargé d'Affaires ad interim in Azerbaijan, also took part in the meeting.

The sides discussed the normalization of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations, the further advancement of the peace process, the establishment of long-term and sustainable peace, as well as issues of regional stability and security.

In addition, they reviewed the results of Elnur Mammadov's visit to the United States, which took place on the occasion of the anniversary of the Washington peace summit, and the trilateral declaration signed following it.

Special attention was given to the implementation of the "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP) and the creation of a management company that will coordinate the construction of infrastructure along the route.

The sides also exchanged views on the prospects for bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States and the implementation of the provisions of the Charter on Strategic Partnership.
