Iran reports death toll from conflict with U.S. and Israel

More than three thousand people have died in Iran during the conflict with the U.S. and Israel, according to the head of the country's forensic medicine organization.

In the early hours of Wednesday, the parties agreed to a two-week ceasefire. The foundation of a future agreement could be based on Iran's ten-point plan, which, as reported, has also been approved in the United States. Among other provisions, it includes the lifting of sanctions on the Islamic Republic of Iran, securing its control over the Strait of Hormuz, the right to uranium enrichment, as well as a commitment to non-aggression and the cessation of hostilities on all fronts, including Israel's operation against "Hezbollah."

By the end of the day, Iran's parliamentary speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf stated that Washington had already violated three key points of the peace proposal, rendering the truce impractical. Specifically, Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth once again suggested the forcible seizure of uranium from Iran if it refuses to surrender it voluntarily. Additionally, the IDF launched a powerful strike on Lebanon, which, according to the latest data, resulted in the deaths of more than 250 people.

Nevertheless, negotiations between Iran and the U.S. in Islamabad are still scheduled for April 10.
