Iran once again states that Mojtaba Khamenei is healthy and leading the country
Supreme Leader of Iran Mojtaba Khamenei is feeling well and is leading the country. This was stated by Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh.
"He is in good health and fully in control," the diplomat said.
In response to a question about why Khamenei does not appear in public, the deputy foreign minister urged consideration of the current extremely dangerous situation, where the United States "in violation of all international laws, killed a head of state." Khatibzadeh added that U.S. partners in Israel would not hesitate to "kill anyone."
Earlier, The Times newspaper, citing intelligence data it obtained, reported that the supreme leader is undergoing treatment and is not participating in decision-making.
The United States and Israel started a war with Iran on February 28. Major Iranian cities, including Tehran, came under attack. The White House justified the attack by citing alleged missile and nuclear threats emanating from Iran. At the same time, U.S. leadership openly called on the Iranian population to oppose their own government and seize power. As a result of the strikes, the former Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and several other key figures in the leadership of the Islamic Republic were killed. Iran launched retaliatory operations against Israel and U.S. targets in Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia.
