Latvia and Lithuania intend to halt grain transit from Russia through their ports

Latvia and Lithuania are considering halting the transportation of Russian grain through their ports. This assertion was made by the Reuters agency.

According to its information, the government of Latvia will hold a meeting on Tuesday at which it will discuss the possibility of a complete ban on the export of Russian grain through the country.

Lithuania, for its part, stated that the export of Russian grain through its ports is unacceptable, although it has not yet named specific measures. «The export of Russian grain using Lithuanian infrastructure contradicts our values,» the agency quoted the country's Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius as saying.
