CBD: Statements circulated on social media on behalf of Erdogan are false - PHOTO
The Center for Combating Disinformation under the Administration of the President of Turkey (CBD) has refuted claims about an alleged threat of occupation against Israel made on behalf of Ankara.
In a post on the CBD's page on the social network X, it is noted that statements circulated by some media outlets and social media users, attributed to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan regarding a 'Turkish threat to occupy Israel,' are completely unfounded.
'The claims in the mentioned publications do not correspond to reality and aim to harm regional stability,' the statement reads.
The center also emphasized that Turkey advocates for the cessation of armed conflicts in all hotspots, the protection of civilians, and the establishment of lasting peace.
'Our country, which prioritizes international law and diplomatic channels in resolving regional crises and disagreements, takes a position not of escalation, but of de-escalation,' the CBD stated.
The agency urged the public not to trust manipulative content that distorts Turkey's struggle and humanitarian stance.
