Erdogan: Turkey is not a country to be threatened with a finger
The Republic of Turkey is not an ordinary state, and no power has the right to threaten either Turkey or its president, stated President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Speaking at a meeting of the parliamentary faction of the Justice and Development Party (AK Parti) in the Grand National Assembly, Erdogan emphasized the unacceptability of insults directed at Turkey and its leader.
"Let no one mistake our restraint and common sense for weakness. We will not allow anyone to be misled on this matter. Those who think they can enslave this nation should know that we have the strength and determination to move mountains if necessary," said Erdogan.
According to him, those who do not want Turkey to rid itself of 40 years of terrorism do not hide their dissatisfaction with this process.
Earlier, the Turkish Foreign Ministry sharply criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for his stance on the US-Iran negotiations and for his attacks on Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The statement from the Turkish Foreign Ministry noted that Israel aims to "undermine the ongoing peace talks and continue its expansionist policy in the region."
