War with Iran is not over - Netanyahu
The confrontation between Israel and the United States with Iran is not over, and 'new developments' in this direction are possible at any moment, claims Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
According to him, Israel intends to ultimately achieve its goals in the standoff with the Islamic Republic.
He made this statement during a joint appearance in Jerusalem with Argentine President Javier Milei, who arrived in Israel on a state visit. The broadcast was conducted by the press service of the Israeli government.
Speaking about the confrontation with Iran, Netanyahu called it 'a period of serious challenges and consequences.' 'We have achieved a lot. But this is not the end, and new developments could occur at any moment,' the prime minister said.
Netanyahu noted that during Milei’s presidency, this is already his third visit to Israel, and each time after these trips, significant events have occurred. 'Javier Milei has a certain quality: every time he visits Israel, it happens just before something big takes place. No, last time I didn’t tell him anything, I give you my word. And I don’t know what I can tell him now, because who knows what tomorrow or the day after will bring?' he added.
'But I am confident that thanks to our moral resilience and partnership, our great partnership with the United States, we will achieve our goals and bring more light and hope to the free peoples of the world,' Netanyahu believes.
The United States and Israel launched a large-scale operation against Iran on February 28. On April 7, American President Donald Trump announced a two-week mutual ceasefire with the Islamic Republic. On April 11, Iran and the United States held several rounds of negotiations in Islamabad. The Iranian delegation was led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, and the American delegation by Vice President JD Vance. As later reported in Tehran and Washington, the parties failed to reach an agreement on the issue of long-term conflict resolution due to a number of disagreements.
