Iran states it will compensate for damages at the expense of Hormuz
Iran will be forced to compensate for the damages inflicted on it through fees collected from ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz if it does not receive reparations from the United States and Israel.
This was stated by the Iranian Ambassador to Cairo, Mojtaba Ferdowsi Pour, in a conversation with TASS.
"We demand reparations from the United States and Israel, and if we do not receive them, we will have to compensate for the losses from the war through fees for passage through the Strait of Hormuz," the Iranian diplomat noted.
Additionally, according to him, Iran does not plan to discuss its missile program or the "Axis of Resistance"—the regional armed groups supported by Tehran—during negotiations with the United States.
"We will not negotiate regarding the missile program and the 'Axis of Resistance,'" he emphasized. The Iranian Ambassador to Egypt added in this context that the United States must also "respect all legitimate rights of the Islamic Republic within the framework of its nuclear dossier."
