Armenia and EU sign partnership agreement on transport
Armenia and the European Union signed several documents in Yerevan, including a partnership agreement on transport infrastructure.
The document was signed in the presence of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, European Council President António Costa, and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the sidelines of the first-ever Armenia-EU summit.
In addition, the signing of the first letters of intent with selected private sector partners took place in Yerevan in the fields of digital infrastructure, semiconductor technology development, innovative ecosystems, and the mobilization of private investments, aimed at having a tangible positive impact on the country.
The Armenian side was presented with the first progress report on the implementation of the action plan for visa liberalization.
Yerevan and Brussels also signed a working arrangement between the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex) and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, which will strengthen cooperation in border and migration management and support Armenia in implementing the action plan for visa liberalization.
