Representatives of the administration of US President Donald Trump and major American businesses who arrived in Beijing as part of the president's delegation did not take their personal mobile phones and laptops on the trip out of fears that these devices could be hacked by Chinese intelligence services.

This was reported by the Fox News channel.

According to its data, during the state visit of the US president, American officials are using temporary mobile phones and computers. According to the safety precautions memo issued to them, they were advised not to connect their mobile devices to USB ports, as this creates a risk that their data could be downloaded or that malicious software could be installed on the mobile phones.

As the channel notes, similar security measures are used not only by American officials but also by top managers from Apple, Boeing, Qualcomm and BlackRock who arrived in China together with the president.
