Pashinyan called restriction on flower imports from Armenia to Russia a 'working situation'

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan believes that the introduction of restrictions on the import of flower products of Armenian origin into Russia is a working moment related to compliance with phytosanitary standards.

"These restrictions have always existed, because for any goods that do not comply with phytosanitary standards, there have always been and will always be restrictions on them. And a similar situation has occurred dozens of times over the past 8 years, and not only phytosanitary issues - there were other problems related to other goods as well, and we discuss these problems at EAEU meetings," he said at a briefing.

The prime minister noted that a delegation has arrived in Armenia for inspection. "This is another working situation," Pashinyan emphasized.

On May 20, Rosselkhoznadzor reported that from May 22, 2026, it is introducing temporary restrictions on the import of flower products originating and shipped from Armenia until the completion of the inspection of greenhouse farms and the analysis of its results.
