Pashinyan comments on risk of denouncing gas agreement with Russia
Armenia and Russia have long-term agreements on natural gas supplies, and it is difficult to imagine a situation in which one of the parties unilaterally refuses to fulfill its obligations.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at a briefing in the government.
“This is not how it is done. This is not contractual behavior,” the head of government said.
At the same time, Pashinyan noted that the Armenian authorities are analyzing all possible scenarios for the development of the situation.
“For more than eight years I have been working with the president of Russia, I know him as a rational person who bases himself on facts. If he has any concerns, we will try to patiently dispel them,” the prime minister said.
