The "Armenia" bloc will appeal to the Constitutional Court to challenge the election results.

This was stated by Ishkhan Sagatelyan, a candidate for deputy from the bloc, during a press conference.

"We are going to appeal to the Constitutional Court to challenge the election results. The team is currently working on it. It is obvious that the elections were held under conditions of pressure, lack of freedom and injustice. There are numerous facts to support this," Sagatelyan noted, according to Sputnik Armenia.

According to him, the bloc will appeal to the Constitutional Court after the final summary of the results by the CEC.

When asked whether the bloc will take the mandates or refuse them, Sagatelyan replied that this will be discussed later. Consultations will also be held with other opposition forces – the bloc believes that the decision should be unanimous.

Parliamentary elections in Armenia were held on June 7. The ruling "Civil Contract" party of Pashinyan, according to preliminary data from the Central Election Commission, is gaining 49.825% of the votes. The opposition bloc of businessman Samvel Karapetyan "Strong Armenia" is gaining 23.281%, the bloc of former president Robert Kocharyan "Armenia" - 9.934%. The "Prosperous Armenia" party of businessman Gagik Tsarukyan, according to preliminary CEC data, receives 3.99% — this is just 0.01% below the threshold (the party is not yet entering parliament, but it has appealed to the CEC for a recount of votes). Turnout was 58.94%.
