Macron's approval rating reaches a historic low
The approval rating of French President Emmanuel Macron has fallen by 7 percentage points compared with the end of June and has reached a historic low.
18% of those surveyed consider him a good president.
This was reported by BFMTV, citing an Odoxa-Mascaret poll for Public Sénat.
The decline in the head of state's figures came amid concerns among the French over measures to curb rising fuel prices.
The approval rating of Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu also declined — by 8 points. 24% of respondents consider him a good prime minister.
Among the politicians taking part in the presidential campaign, Marine Le Pen and Jordan Bardella each retain 35% of support and sympathy. At the same time, their figures fell by 4 and 5 points, respectively. Édouard Philippe received 27% (-3 points), François Hollande — 22% (-1), and Raphaël Glucksmann — 20% (+1).
