Russia restricts the export of cash to Azerbaijan

In Russia, individuals have been banned from taking cash rubles in amounts exceeding 1 million rubles (about $11,800) to the EAEU countries, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, with certain exceptions.

The corresponding decree was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. In case of violation of the ban, the cash funds will be confiscated.

Previously, a limit equivalent to $100,000 applied to individuals in Russia, and the restrictions did not extend to Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
