Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian received the Azerbaijani delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev, which is on a visit to Tehran.
As reported by the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan, Shahin Mustafayev conveyed the greetings of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Masoud Pezeshkian. The Iranian president thanked him for the greetings and, in turn, conveyed his best wishes.
During the meeting, it was noted that the common historical and cultural ties between the peoples of the two countries create a solid foundation for the development of bilateral relations. The parties highly assessed the current state of friendly and good-neighborly relations between Azerbaijan and Iran.
The prospects for further expanding cooperation in the spheres of economy, trade, transportation, and energy were also discussed.
It was emphasized that the successful continuation of the implementation of joint projects in the region will make an important contribution to the development of both countries and the region as a whole.
