CIS secretary general believes situation in Armenia will stabilize after elections
The situation in Armenia after the parliamentary elections will be stabilizing; there are prerequisites for this.
This was stated to journalists by CIS Secretary General Sergei Lebedev.
When asked whether there are currently prerequisites for the situation in Armenia to stabilize after the parliamentary elections, Lebedev answered in the affirmative. "Yes, I think there are, because Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Vovaevich Pashinyan stated that they do not intend to leave the EAEU at this time. There is no talk at all of the CIS; they remain part of our organization," the organization's secretary general said.
Lebedev noted that an authorized representative of Armenia was present at today's CIS Economic Council, participated in it, and signed the documents. "We hope that everything will be fine," the CIS secretary general added.
