Singer Lauren Bennett who performed Party Rock Anthem with LMFAO dies - video
British singer Lauren Bennett, who gained worldwide fame thanks to her participation in the recording of LMFAO's hit Party Rock Anthem, has died at the age of 37.
As 1news.az reports, the singer's death was announced by members of her former group G.R.L.. The cause of death has not been officially disclosed.
The group's statement reads as follows: "With deep sorrow we announce the death of our beloved Lauren. Our hearts are broken, and it is impossible to express in words how much she meant to us. We will forever keep in memory the love, laughter and countless memories with which she gifted us. Her beautiful soul touched the lives of many people. We will miss her very much."
Lauren Bennett began her musical career as part of the group Paradiso Girls, and gained worldwide popularity in 2011 after participating in the recording of the composition Party Rock Anthem, which topped the charts in many countries and became one of the most successful dance hits of the decade. Later the singer joined the group G.R.L., known for the songs Ugly Heart and Lighthouse.
L.Bennett is survived by her six-year-old daughter Harlow and her common-law husband, dancer and actor Kenny Wormald.
