Peskov: Discounted gas for Armenia is not from the sky, but at Russia's expense
The gas discounts that Armenia receives are assistance from Russia, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"A discount is always at someone's expense. That is, the discount that Armenians receive is always at someone's expense, it does not come from the sky. It is at the expense of the Russian Federation. This is indeed our contribution to the development of Armenia," the Kremlin spokesman said.
According to him, the discounts are connected with the fact that the Armenian people are "brotherly" to Russia.
"This is a brotherly country, it was and will remain brotherly. But this is at our expense, we need to call things by their proper names. This is our assistance to Armenia," Peskov concluded.
