EU Council approves payment for Ukraine of nearly €3 billion

The EU Council has approved another payment for Ukraine of nearly €3 billion from the €50 billion Ukraine Facility fund.

"Ukraine will soon receive almost €3 billion after the Council approved the eighth regular payment under the Ukraine Facility program," the EU Council's press release says.

It is noted that nearly €800 million will be allocated for the first time from the loan to support Ukraine. According to the EU's plan, the funds from the facility are to go toward "macro-financial stabilization," as well as "ensuring reforms" and the needs of "public administration" in Ukraine.
