Marco Rubio congratulates Azerbaijan on Independence Day

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio congratulated the Azerbaijani people on Independence Day.

"On behalf of the United States of America, I congratulate the people of Azerbaijan on Independence Day.

Over the past year, we have elevated our relations to the level of strategic partnership, culminating in the signing in Baku of the Charter on Strategic Partnership by U.S. Vice President JD Vance and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. We look forward to further strengthening our partnership through expanded regional connectivity, economic ties, and security cooperation.

The United States welcomes Azerbaijan's commitment to achieving sustainable peace in the South Caucasus and looks forward to continuing joint work in this direction. We intend to deepen our partnership in the coming year and beyond," the statement said.
