President of Slovakia congratulated President Ilham Aliyev

President of the Slovak Republic Peter Pellegrini sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

As reported by 1news.az, the letter states:

"Dear Mr. President.

Please accept my heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of your country's national holiday – Independence Day.

This significant holiday, celebrated as the day of the formation of the first democratic republic in the Muslim world, is a symbol of freedom, sovereignty and progress for the people of Azerbaijan.

The Slovak Republic highly values the traditionally friendly relations with the Republic of Azerbaijan, which are at a good level. Relations between our countries have significantly strengthened following the first official visit of Your Excellency to Slovakia in December last year.

I look forward to an official visit to your beautiful country, which will take place soon. I am confident that the mutual exchange of visits at the highest level will further deepen our relations and open new opportunities for cooperation in the energy, transport, investment and cultural fields.

Mr. President, please accept my best wishes for good health, personal well-being and new successes in your highest state post.

At the same time, I wish you, as well as the entire Azerbaijani people, further successes, well-being and prosperity."
