Another part of the series of events held this year in Brazil on the occasion of Azerbaijan's Independence Day was memorable for its rich visual component and colorful content.
Thus, on May 28, throughout the evening and night in the city of Sao Paulo, which is considered the largest metropolis, the leading business and financial center not only of Brazil but of the entire Latin American region, a light projection and visual show against the background of the colors of the Azerbaijani flag was presented. This project, initiated and supported by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Brazil, was implemented with various design options in two main districts of the namesake capital - Sao Paulo, combining modernity and history.
On the famous skyscraper, the business center “FIESP” on the iconic Paulista Avenue, the busiest and most crowded center of the city, a video was shown reflecting the ancient history and rich culture and nature of Azerbaijan. The light projection of our tricolor flag was accompanied by the inscription in Portuguese “May 28: Independence Day of Azerbaijan”. For reference, in this FIESP building and adjacent business skyscrapers are located many companies and business associations, whose combined contribution is approximately 20% to Brazil's 2.5-trillion GDP.
Another event dedicated to Azerbaijan's Independence Day was organized with the participation of the Executive Council of the city of Sao Paulo. Thus, the suspension bridge “Octavio Frias de Oliveira” and the library “Mario de Andrade”, known modern architectural and cultural monuments of the city, were covered with the colors of Azerbaijani flags from evening until dawn on May 28.
Previously, as the first part of the series of events, on May 21 at the National Theater of Brazil with the support of the embassy in the capital Brasilia, a concert was held by the famous Azerbaijani pianist, Honored Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Nargiz Aliyarova with the prestigious Claudio Santoro Symphony Orchestra.
