Macron: France will receive foreign investments in the record amount of 93 billion euros

French President Emmanuel Macron announced that foreign companies intend to invest a record €93 billion in the country's economy in the coming years.

“This time alone, Choose France will attract record investments of 93 billion euros, which have already been confirmed… Obviously, this is by a wide margin the record amount, and it is a historic event,” Macron noted in his speech at the ninth investment summit “Choose France” (Choose France), which was held in Versailles on Monday, June 1.

He added that these funds will be directed to the development of data centers, artificial intelligence technologies, semiconductors, critical minerals, as well as electrification, transport and healthcare.

According to the president, almost half of the total investment volume, namely €45 billion, will be invested by the Japanese holding company Softbank. In the future, this amount may increase to €75 billion.
