Zakharova: elections in Armenia were accompanied by unprecedented pressure on the opposition

Parliamentary elections in Armenia were held under unprecedented pressure on the opposition from the authorities and with unprecedented interference from the West, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

"Unprecedented pressure on the opposition. On the one hand, this is what was obviously implemented in the form of the concept of the Armenian authorities. And the interference from the West is equally, in my opinion, unprecedented for this region in the context of electoral processes," she said on Sputnik radio, commenting on the past elections.
