Israeli national security minister: Trump's agreement does not obligate us, we are not a US colony
Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir commented on the agreements reached between Washington and Tehran.
“Trump’s agreement does not obligate us. Israel is not a colony of the United States,” he wrote on the social network X.
According to him, the Israeli army should not withdraw from the occupied territories in Lebanon: “We are not a party to this agreement, which does not ensure our security, and it does not obligate us in any way. We should not agree to anything less than the complete disarmament of Hezbollah. We should not remain silent for a moment in response to fire directed against Israel.”
According to the minister, every drone or missile launched from Lebanon toward Israel should lead to an Israeli strike on the Dahiya district in the Lebanese capital Beirut.
Earlier, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, announcing the agreement reached between the United States and Iran, declared an “immediate and final cessation of military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon.”
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi confirmed the agreement with the United States and reported that a memorandum of understanding will be signed on June 19 in Switzerland.
