Armenia's constitutional court to announce decision on July 4 in case challenging parliamentary election results
The Constitutional Court (CC) of Armenia will announce its decision on July 4 on the combined case challenging the results of the parliamentary elections held on June 7, said Chairman of the CC of RA Arman Dilanyan.
"The Constitutional Court has little time left to make a decision on the case. July 4 is the last day when the Constitutional Court must issue a decision," Dilanyan said at the court session on Friday.
In this regard, he proposed holding a session also on the nearest non-working day, June 27.
Based on the results of this session, a decision will be made on the need to hold hearings on Sunday as well.
On June 21, the Constitutional Court combined into one proceeding the applications of the "Strong Armenia" and "Armenia" blocs, the parties "Wings of Unity," "Democracy, Law, Discipline" (DOK), "Prosperous Armenia," "Alliance of Defenders of Democracy in the Name of the Republic," and the Reformist Party "New Force."
The applicants are challenging the decision of the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia dated June 14, 2026, on approving the results of the regular elections to the National Assembly.
Elections to the National Assembly of Armenia were held on June 7, 2026.
According to official data from the CEC, three political forces entered parliament: the ruling "Civil Contract" party (49.74% of the votes), the "Strong Armenia" bloc (23.27%), and the "Armenia" bloc (9.92%). The remaining 15 parties that participated in the elections did not overcome the established 4% threshold.
