Number of deaths from earthquake in Venezuela rises to 589 people.

As local media report, this was stated by Venezuelan presidential commissioner Delci Rodriguez.

According to her, another 2,980 people were injured.

Rodriguez also noted that 214 aftershocks have so far been recorded in the country after strong earthquakes.

Earlier the Health Ministry reported 4,300 victims.

According to the UN, the earthquakes affected up to 6.76 million people.
