Baykar trained 30 Saudi Arabian military personnel to operate Bayraktar AKINCI
Turkish defense company Baykar announced that 30 service members of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces have completed training at the company's facility in northwestern Turkey.
According to the company, the group included 15 pilots and 15 trainee mechanics and electronics specialists. They underwent training at Baykar's Flight Training and Test Center in Çorlu.
In 2023, Baykar and Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Defense signed an agreement on the export of and cooperation in the field of Bayraktar AKINCI unmanned combat aerial vehicles.
Under the agreement, Bayraktar AKINCI drones will enter service with Saudi Arabia. As part of the cooperation, Baykar will also provide training, technical support, and logistics services.
