Moldova's prime minister announces resignation

Moldovan Prime Minister Alexander Munteanu announced his resignation due to the inability to follow his principles and convictions.

"Today I am concluding my mandate as prime minister. I accepted the offer to become prime minister with great responsibility and a firm conviction that I would be able to contribute to changes for the better. At the moment when I realized that I could no longer fulfill my mandate in accordance with the principles and convictions that I hold, I choose to leave," Munteanu wrote on his Facebook page.
