Le Monde: Saint-Tropez became one of the centers for recruiting girls by Epstein's network
American financier Jeffrey Epstein used the French resort of Saint-Tropez as one of the main places for recruiting girls for sexual exploitation.
As 1news.az reports, this was written by the newspaper Le Monde, citing court documents and witness testimony.
According to the publication, Epstein visited Saint-Tropez almost every year, calling it his "second favorite place" in France after Paris.
Both cities, as the newspaper notes, were used by him and his accomplices to commit sexual crimes.
One of Epstein's main recruiters in France was the model agent Jean-Luc Brunel. Using his professional activities, he provided Epstein with access to young girls.
Epstein was detained by law enforcement agencies of the state of New York on July 6, 2019. According to the prosecutor's office, between 2002 and 2005 he arranged visits to his home in Manhattan by dozens of underage girls, the youngest of whom was 14 years old.
Epstein maintained relations with numerous current and former officials, including former heads of state, major entrepreneurs, and show business figures. The criminal prosecution of the financier in the United States was terminated after his death in a prison cell in August 2019.
