"Not even worthy of comment": Kim Jong Un's sister on the scaling back of U.S. and South Korean military exercises

The DPRK is completely uninterested in the decision by the United States and South Korea to halve their joint military exercises, said the sister of DPRK leader Kim Jong Un, Kim Yo Jong, head of a department of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, whose words were cited by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

"As for the reduction of the joint military exercises of the United States and South Korea, which the U.S. president (Donald Trump - ed.) suddenly announced several days ago, we do not consider it even worthy of comment and are completely uninterested in it," Kim Yo Jong said.

According to her, reducing the scale or duration of the exercises does not change their provocative and offensive nature. Kim Yo Jong emphasized that the DPRK is paying attention not to the reduction of individual maneuvers, but to the fact that the joint exercises of the United States and South Korea are continuing.
