French singer intends to run for president
French singer Francis Lalanne has announced his intention to take part in the presidential election in France in 2027. This is reported by Le Figaro.
According to the publication, in his program Lalanne advocates the restoration of national sovereignty, a deep reform of the judicial system, and the development of direct democracy. In addition, the singer supports France's exit from the European Union.
To officially take part in the presidential race, Lalanne needs to collect the signatures of 500 elected representatives.
Note that Lalanne has visited Russia on numerous occasions. In particular, he performed the song "My Russia" and previously appeared with Elena Maksimova, performing a composition about love for Russia.
Lalanne also already has experience in French politics: he ran in parliamentary elections, including in 2022.
