Ahmadbayli–Fuzuli–Shusha road wins in the "Innovative construction methodology" category

The Ahmadbayli–Fuzuli–Shusha highway project has been awarded the International Road Federation's IRF Global prize in the "Innovative Construction Methodology" category.

As reported by the State Road Agency of Azerbaijan, the highway project was submitted for the regional IRF Global award for outstanding achievements in Europe and Central Asia.

The road, of technical category 1C, is designed for 4–6 traffic lanes. Seven tunnels, nine viaducts and 11 bridges have been built along the route, and 76 underground and reserve crossings have been provided.

The total length of the tunnels exceeds 6.3 km. The longest tunnel on the route is 3.34 km.
