Trump Tower Tbilisi debuts on the global stage with a spectacular launch night overlooking the Georgian capital - PHOTO

Trump Tower Tbilisi held its long-awaited global launch on Sept. 15 with a spectacular opening event. Bringing together select guests from Georgia and from countries around the world, the night marked the presentation of one of the country's most ambitious real estate projects.

The invitation-only event, held at Tbilisi's famous Funicular with its panoramic view over the Georgian capital, gathered international business leaders, project partners, investors, celebrities, artists, influencers and representatives of the global media. This was the first official presentation of Trump Tower Tbilisi, which will be the central landmark of the Downtown Tbilisi project, valued at approximately $2 billion.

Against the backdrop of Tbilisi's illuminated skyline, guests were given a first look at the concept, architecture and lifestyle of Trump Tower Tbilisi through a multimedia presentation and the official launch. The night brought Georgian culture together with international luxury, and the program closed with performances by Grammy winner CeeLo Green and the internationally renowned DJ and producer Francis Mercier.

The event meant more than the presentation of a new tower. It was also the first major international public presentation of the Downtown Tbilisi project and of the new mixed-use destination planned next to the city's Central Park.

Trump Tower Tbilisi is being developed as part of the wider Downtown Tbilisi project in cooperation with The Trump Organization. Archi Group and INVIA are the main partners and developers of Downtown Tbilisi. The Sapir Organization is a co-developer of the project, while Block Stone Capital, Finvest Georgia and Vector Group are minority partners. Together the partners are combining deep local market knowledge with international experience to create a landmark destination that aims to change the way people live, work, shop and experience the city in Tbilisi.

At the heart of the project will be Trump Tower Tbilisi, the first tower to be built in Downtown Tbilisi and its principal architectural landmark. Designed by Gensler, based in Washington, D.C., the 62-story tower will stand approximately 280 meters tall. That will make it the tallest building in Georgia and create a new and striking presence in the capital's skyline.

Located on an 8-hectare site next to Tbilisi's Central Park, Downtown Tbilisi is conceived as a new "city within a city" consisting of six towers and approximately 600,000 square meters of total built area. The master plan, valued at approximately $2 billion, will include 46,500 square meters of retail space, 42,000 square meters of office space, 42,000 square meters of hotel space and 251,000 square meters of residential space.

Inspired by Bal Harbour Shops in Miami, the retail space in the podium of Downtown Tbilisi will connect luxury stores and premium restaurants with the adjacent park, creating a destination that brings indoor and outdoor spaces together for residents, visitors and the surrounding community.

The residences of Trump Tower Tbilisi will combine city and park living. They will feature private access to the adjacent Central Park, landscaped terraces and leisure areas, as well as world-class restaurants and luxury stores at street level. Studio residences will start at approximately $290,000, with prices per square meter starting at approximately $7,000.

The project is being financed through a comprehensive financing package provided by two of Georgia's leading banks, TBC Bank and Bank of Georgia. The parent groups of these banks are listed on the London Stock Exchange.

The launch comes at a time when Georgia is attracting growing interest among international investors, residents and visitors. The country, located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, has posted average annual real economic growth of approximately 9% over the past four years. Its extensive network of free trade agreements provides access to markets covering approximately 2.3 billion consumers.

Even so, for the hundreds of guests who gathered above Tbilisi on Sept. 15, the night was more than the launch of a new project: it was a celebration of the city's future. With the lights of the Georgian capital below, a world-class entertainment program on stage and leaders from business, government and the real estate sector in attendance, Trump Tower Tbilisi officially announced its arrival and brought Tbilisi, which is drawing ever greater attention as one of the places where investment, business and high-end urban living are flourishing, onto the international agenda.
