The U.S. has officially concluded Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq

The United States has officially concluded Operation "Inherent Resolve" in Iraq — the Pentagon.

The United States expects that Iraq and Iraqi Kurdistan will be able to ensure security on their own and eliminate the remnants of ISIS militants.

After the withdrawal of troops from Iraq, the U.S. will continue to provide support to its Iraqi partners so that ISIS "can never be revived."
