The Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, organized for the 10th time, was covered directly from the scene by around 300 local and foreign media representatives — journalists, photographers, and film crews representing the world's leading media outlets.
As the Baku City Circuit Operations Company told AZERTAC, the Azerbaijan Grand Prix was broadcast on 56 foreign television channels and numerous international broadcasting platforms, including Sky Sports, ESPN, Canal+, beIN Sports, Apple TV, Tencent, TV Globo, and DAZN. As it does every year, the creative team of the popular series Drive to Survive, broadcast on the Netflix platform, was also in Baku for filming.
During Grand Prix week, foreign media did not limit themselves to the races alone, but also prepared reports presenting Azerbaijan's culture and national traditions. A special media tour organized for foreign journalists gave them the opportunity to get better acquainted with the country's rich heritage. For example, ServusTV, the official Formula 1 broadcaster in Austria, prepared a special story about Baku, showcasing our national cuisine, traditional music, and musical instruments, while the British television channel Sky Sports introduced its viewers to this ancient art form through a separate story dedicated to Azerbaijani carpet weaving.
A Media Center meeting the requirements of the International Automobile Federation (FIA) was set up for the work of accredited media representatives. The center featured comfortable work areas for journalists, the necessary technical facilities, and a hall for press conferences.
