Hail, sleet and flooding expected in Azerbaijan's regions

Unstable weather is expected in a number of regions of Azerbaijan from the evening of September 28 until noon on September 30.

This was reported by the National Hydrometeorological Service.

Starting Monday evening, beginning with the western districts of the country, rain will fall. In places the precipitation will be intense, and hail is expected.

During the nighttime hours of September 29, sleet is possible in high mountainous areas.

In connection with the expected precipitation, a rise in water levels in rivers is forecast. On individual rivers of the Greater and Lesser Caucasus, as well as the Lankaran-Astara region, short-term floods and mudflows are possible.
