Kuwait says it reserves the right to retaliatory measures after Iran's attacks

Kuwaiti authorities strongly condemn the ongoing attacks by Iran and reserve the right to take all necessary measures to protect their territory.

This is stated in a statement by the emirate's foreign ministry.

"The ministry confirms that the State of Kuwait reserves the full right to take all necessary measures to protect its security and defend its territory, placing full responsibility on Iran for these criminal attacks," the document states. The department emphasized that Tehran's actions represent "a dangerous escalation and a direct encroachment on the security and stability of Kuwait," as well as undermining efforts to reduce tensions in the region.

Earlier, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reported striking an Iranian radar and drone control points in Garuk and on Qeshm Island. According to the command, these actions were in response to the destruction of an American MQ-1 drone. In turn, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC, elite units of the Iranian Armed Forces) announced a retaliatory strike on the U.S. military base from which the attack on the Iranian island of Sirik was carried out.
