Alen Simonyan: I will visit Azerbaijan at a convenient opportunity

In case of an invitation and at a convenient opportunity, I will visit the neighboring country (meaning Azerbaijan — ed.) and invite representatives of all neighboring countries to Armenia.

This was stated by Alen Simonyan, candidate for deputy from the Civil Contract party, speaker of the Armenian parliament, during pre-election debates on Public Television on June 1.

“I can reveal a secret: recently a forum was held in Azerbaijan, and my Azerbaijani colleague invited me to visit Azerbaijan. But, unfortunately, due to pre-election campaigning, I refused to participate in the forum,” Simonyan noted.

He added that political figures should take responsibility for peace.
