Azerbaijan and Benin sign agreement on mutual visa exemption - PHOTO

On the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Benin Corinne Amori Brunet.

This was stated in a post by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan on the social network "X."

During the meeting, the main attention was paid to establishing regular political consultations between the foreign policy agencies of the two countries and deepening coordination within international organizations, in particular the UN, the Non-Aligned Movement, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

The sides noted the importance of developing mutual economic and humanitarian cooperation, as well as interaction in key areas of development.

Following the meeting, the ministers signed the "Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Benin on Mutual Exemption from Visa Requirements for Holders of Diplomatic and Service Passports."

This agreement creates an institutional and legal framework for facilitating high-level contacts and developing a long-term diplomatic partnership.
