Peskov did not say whether Putin will congratulate Trump on his birthday

Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov did not say in comments to RTVI whether Russian leader Vladimir Putin will congratulate his American counterpart Donald Trump on his upcoming birthday.

“There are still many matters on the Russian agenda,” the Kremlin spokesman noted in response to a question about whether Putin plans to personally call Trump or send him a congratulatory telegram.

Donald Trump will mark his 80th birthday on June 14. On the American leader’s last birthday Putin congratulated him during a telephone conversation in which the presidents discussed bilateral relations as well as current international issues.
