Foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Pakistan discuss agreement reached between US and Iran
A telephone conversation took place between Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Pakistani Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar.
As reported by the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed the agreements reached between the US and Iran within the framework of the memorandum of understanding and exchanged views on the current situation.
The Azerbaijani side positively assessed Pakistan's mediating role in the negotiation process, noting the contribution of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, as well as Chief of the Armed Forces Field Marshal Asif Munir in the successful conclusion of the negotiations.
The parties emphasized that the agreement reached contributes to reducing tension in the region, strengthening trust, and promoting diplomatic methods of settlement.
Jeyhun Bayramov expressed hope that further negotiations to develop a comprehensive agreement would contribute to strengthening peace, security, and stability.
During the conversation, views were also exchanged on issues of bilateral and regional cooperation of mutual interest.
