Draft of the II State Program on the Great Return presented to the President
Drafts of the new Strategy covering 2027–2030 and the "II State Program on the Great Return" have already been prepared, widely discussed in the Economic Council, and presented to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Prime Minister Ali Asadov said this during the discussion at the Cabinet of Ministers of the drafts of the state and consolidated budgets for 2027, the indicators of the consolidated budget for the following three years, and forecasts of socio-economic development.
He noted that the upcoming medium-term period covering 2027–2030, taking into account the complex geopolitical and economic processes taking place in the region as well as global development trends, poses new strategic challenges and goals for the country.
"Under these conditions, the upcoming stage requires the effective use of available opportunities, taking into account the priorities of state policy, and further strengthening of readiness for possible risks. Effective budgetary and fiscal policy plays an important role in the implementation of these tasks. In the coming period, one of the main conditions is the effective channeling of financial resources to the main priorities, the preservation of socio-economic stability, and the implementation of strategic development goals. Such an approach requires close linkage of financial planning with the country's long-term development priorities and the strategic documents currently being implemented.
From this point of view, the documents "Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-Economic Development" and the "Socio-Economic Development Strategy for 2022–2026" prepared on their basis, as well as the "I State Program on the Great Return to the territories liberated from occupation," are of particular importance. These documents are being successfully implemented, and the current year is the final year of the Strategy's implementation.
In connection with the new state programs adopted by the President recently, final work is underway on the Strategy, and it is expected to be approved in the coming months," A. Asadov said.
