Trump still claims that meeting with Iranian delegation will take place tomorrow in Doha
Iran requested the meeting, US President Donald Trump said, adding that the talks will take place on June 30 in the Qatari capital.
«Iran requested a meeting. It will take place tomorrow in Doha,» the American leader wrote on the Truth Social social network.
Recall that earlier, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi, who is part of the negotiating team for the implementation of the memorandum with the US, denied information about the start of technical consultations with the US in Doha this week.
Gharibabadi noted that the parties have not yet reached an agreement on the place and time of the technical negotiations. Consultations on this issue continue with the assistance of mediator countries, the deputy foreign minister added.
Meanwhile, earlier, Axios portal journalist Barak Ravid stated that representatives of the US and Iran had reached an agreement on a mutual cessation of strikes and holding consultations on June 30 in Doha to resolve differences over the Strait of Hormuz.
